There are five Stapleton apartment communities owned and managed by Forest City. So you really can choose from everything ranging from a modern loft to a sleek townhome …
“We have apartments in the E. 29th Avenue Town Center, but they’re also in other Stapleton neighborhoods – from Conservatory Green to Eastbridge,” said Rebecca Cotter, general manager of Forest City’s Stapleton apartments. “Whether you’re running, walking or biking through Stapleton, you don’t really notice each apartment community – everything is well integrated, leaving apartment residents to walk out their front door and easily discover a running trail, walk their dog or explore other amenities.”
And the rental communities will grow to a Stapleton-wide total of nearly 1,000 apartment homes by next year, an increase of 400% in five years. There will also be a new building on the other side of The Green in addition to growth at The Aster Town Center and The Aster Conservatory Green.
“We’re opening our third community in three years here,” said Lisa Ratcliff, Forest City’s regional apartment manager. “Stapleton is what makes them successful. People just love it here because many times you can’t find a whole, inclusive community. You don’t have to go far to find everything you’re looking for – shops, restaurants, schools, parks, pools.
“It’s just fun, and everything’s a short walk away.”
Stapleton’s Crescent Flats, Botanica Town Center and The Aster Town Center are in, across from and next to the East 29th Avenue Town Center. Botanica Eastbridge Apartments is next to the Bluff Lake Nature Center and Central Park Recreation Center in the community’s Eastbridge neighborhood, and The Aster Conservatory Green is in Stapleton’s newest neighborhood.
“With every new neighborhood, the apartment community reflects the colors and neighborhood design,” Rebecca said.
Stapleton also has affordable rental communities through Mercy Housing and Northeast Denver Housing Center, some of which are even more affordable through renewable energy.
“Solar Panel systems were installed to reduce electric bills for our families,” said Chris Dukes, Asset manager for Northeast Denver Housing Center. “This revolutionary solution is a true game changer for our residents.”
Lisa said the mix of apartments makes it easier to find the right fit.
“It gives us the opportunity to say yes to anyone who wants to rent. You’re not pigeon-holed or we’re not having a really hard time meeting everyone’s needs,” Lisa said. “You don’t have to go elsewhere.”
She said part of Stapleton’s success is also location.
“We’re a few minutes from downtown. We’re right on I-70,” Lisa said. “We’re one of the closest communities to the airport, and you’re surrounded by a neighborhood filled with trees and places to be with your family.”
Stapleton’s apartment communities are also home to a diverse group of residents.
“We have everyone from families to stay-at-home moms to single professionals. We even have a lot of professionals commuting to DIA and the Anschutz Medical Campus,” Rebecca said. “We have people starting out. They’re dating. They’re getting married. They’re moving. They’re having kids. It’s everyone. People are living out their lives here.”
What’s Next?
“We’re excited about all of the amenities that are opening at The Aster Conservatory Green,” Lisa said. “The community will have a pool, parks, edible landscape, a dog run, a fire pit and a volleyball court … plus, we have the opportunity to expand on those amenities as Stapleton evolves.
“It’s nice to be in a community where there’s always something going on,” she said. “And it will be exciting to see everything grow over the next 10 years.”
